Hipólito Giménez Blanco
Founder, operator, builder.
At 12 I sat in front of a computer, built a site about emulators, and discovered something that still obsesses me: with code and an idea, you can turn a personal passion into a community of thousands. That obsession with building things people want to use is still the engine behind everything I do.
The origin
I grew up inside online communities — PeruEmulation, Edonkey Argentina — before "online community" was a concept. I was 12 and moderating forums with thousands of users from my bedroom. By 13 I was already freelancing as a web designer. That curve — starting to build before knowing what I was doing, learning along the way, never asking permission — is what later took me to New Zealand with a campaign in hand, on a one-year overland trip from Europe to Southeast Asia, into founding companies, into industries I didn't know.
When someone tells me "it can't be done", that's usually exactly what's worth trying.
What I believe
Disciplines are fake. Technology, data, creativity and business either intersect or stay commodity. When they truly intersect, things happen.
Building beats consulting. An agency that only recommends doesn't learn. The ones that execute, operate, and get their hands dirty are the ones that actually understand what works.
AI isn't hype, it's new infrastructure. Whoever integrates it as a transversal layer across operations — not as a separate product — wins the next decade.
Detail is the difference. What separates a good brand from a memorable one, a converting site from a flat one, a scaling team from a breaking one — it's always in the details no one else sees.
The best operator is a deep generalist. Someone who understands code, brand, data, and money at the same time. Specialists are useful but they don't lead.
Off-screen
I cook — the kitchen is the laboratory of details, where ten small decisions (salt, time, temperature) decide the outcome. I ride bikes because I think better there than in any meeting. I run because it forces me to do one thing at a time.
I lecture at Universidad Austral because students always bring something I didn't see.
